AUDIO: MAN FOUND STORING LARGE QUANTITIES OF BLOOD
A 43-year-old Washington, D.C. man has been charged with paying junkies and winos $30 to draw blood, which he was storing in “large quantities” in an abandoned apartment. Police stumbled on the makeshift operation when a patrol officer saw “habitual substance abusers” congregating in front of a three-story brick apartment building. Investigating, he discovered Khoa Hoang Nguyen, who said he was doing work for a biomedical company and that he was approved and certified to withdraw blood from citizens. Authorities were unable to corroborate Nguyen’s certification and concluded that he had no medical license. He was charged with one count of practicing registered nursing without a license. It was not immediately clear what Nguyen intended to do with the blood.
* Paint the town red?
* Maybe making blood pudding? Is this Khoa Hoang Nguyen guy Irish by any chance?
* Jeeze, can’t a guy have a hobby?
* This is weird enough to go into the new episodes of “Twin Peaks”.
* If you’re going to start a blood bank, you have to have some starting capital.
