AUDIO: INCREDIBLY AWFUL VIDEO TAKES INTERNET BY STORM

Remember Rebecca Black and her song “Friday”, from back in 2011 (ten years ago!). It was a dumb little song by a pretty girl and it got a lot of internet attention. Well, another girl is trying to do the same thing. Her name is Sarah Brand. She has a song called “Red Dress”. She wrote it, produced it, performed it, and made what looks like a modestly-budgeted video for the song. She’s working very hard to make it go viral on social media – which it is, but not for the reasons she thinks. Because there’s just one problem: There’s not one note she sings that’s in key with any other note in the song. The video is on YouTube. An audio clip is below. This is not a joke – she has a second song posted on her website that’s just as good.
* Lock your pets out of the room before I play this.
* This is what happens when you try to sing harmony with yourself WHILE you’re singing the melody.
* As someone pointed out, at least she doesn’t rely on pitch correction, like those big-name singers.
* She’s finding tones between tones between tones.
* If the Kardashians ever decided to go into music, this is what I imagine they’d sound like.
* Better or worse than William Shatner’s “talk-singing”? Let’s open the phones.
