AUDIO: FISHING TRAGEDY: BEES, PIRAHNAS
A weekend fishing trip in Brazil took a tragic turn. A 30-year-old man and his two friends were fishing at a lake last Sunday when they were attacked by a huge swarm of bees. In an attempt to escape the bees, the three fishermen jumped into the lake. Two of the men managed to swim to safety, but by then their friend was nowhere to be found. The fire department was called and an officer was about to dive into the lake when he was informed it was filled with piranhas. Officers managed to recover the man’s body near the shoreline after hours of searching. The fire department reported the pirahnas had “torn open several parts of the body and tore open the right side of the face.”
* And that was his GOOD side, too.
* Goodbye, old chum.
* Anybody else get the feeling the bees and piranhas were working together?
* Might be time to post a little piranha warning sign at the lake, no?
* If they were fishing in a lake full of pirahnas, what were they hoping to catch?
* Guess you could say the… fish were biting that day. (play audio below).
