ATM WORKERS LEAVE BAG OF MONEY BEHIND
In Mahwah, New Jersey, a couple of ATM workers had finished refilling a machine, and left behind a bag full of 10’s and 20’s. They were seven miles away when they realized they had left $141,000 at the curb. By the time they got back, it was gone. Surveillance video from Monday morning shows a white GMC Savana work van pass by the bag a few minutes later and then return, with a passenger exiting the vehicle and taking the bag of cash. Police are pleading for the money’s return. Police Officer William Hunt says, “Anytime you find property that’s discarded on the side of the road, it’s not just fair game for you to pick it up and say, ‘Well, you left it, I found it.'”
* Their next performance review is going to be rough.
* Soon to be a wacky Kevin James comedy.
* $141,000. That’s almost enough money to do something with.
* First, let’s be fair: Except for leaving the money on the ground, the ATM workers did their jobs perfectly.
* I think in the ATM business, when you leave behind a bag, you get sacked.
* What about that old rule: “Finders keepers, losers weepers”?
* The surveillance video I’d like to see is the moment they realized they left the money bag on the ground.
* I can just imagine that memo from management: “Just a reminder everyone: When picking up money from ATM machines …”
* This is nothing. You should have seen what happened when they worked in the organ transplant business.
