AMERICA’S FAVORITE VEGETABLE: BROCCOLI

Green Giant has released the findings from its annual Favorite Veggie Survey. The brand polled over 5,000 Americans asking for their favorite vegetable. The answer: Broccoli. (* Uh huh, sure, if you say so.)
– 100% of consumers surveyed who picked broccoli as their favorite vegetable noted ‘taste’ as a top factor in making their selection.
– Carrots came in second. Carrots are most favored on the West Coast. The East Coast predominantly prefers broccoli.
– Corn came in third.
– Tomatoes and cucumbers were noticeable favorites in 2020, but didn’t make the favorites list in 2021.
* It’s true – science has found that “taste” is usually a predominant factor when putting things into your mouth.
* I’d bet lettuce and potatoes might have something to say about this survey.
* All that money to the Broccoli lobby is finally paying off.
* Come on, broccoli isn’t even in the top 3 Vegetables that start with the letter B. (Beans, butter lettuce, bell peppers…)
