ALL-ROBOT RESTAURANT OPENS IN CHINA
The Qianxi Robot Catering Group in China has opened a restaurant operated completely by robots. Located in Shunde, the restaurant removes humans completely from the food production and preparation stages with robots taking over all the tasks. It has 20 robots equipped to serve a variety of dishes, including Chinese food, fast food, clay-pot rice and hot pot. The menu has 200 items, which are available within 20 seconds of ordering. The restaurant can handle 600 diners at once.
* “Waiter, there’s a flywheel in my soup!”
* Mmm, there’s nothing better than a 20-second steak.
* There’s even a robot programmed to ask “Is everything okay here?” just as you put a forkful of food in your mouth.
* How do you tip? Little cans of oil?
* Their programming manual is titled “How to Serve Man”, but this time it’s not a cookbook.
