SCHOOL BANS KID'S STAR WARS T-SHIRT
A Texas 7th grader said he told forced to cover up his T-shirt depicting a Star Wars Stormtrooper holding a “rebel blaster” on a T-shirt. Colton Southern wore the Stormtrooper shirt to class Thursday at George Junior High School in Rosenberg, just as he had done several times before without incident. School officials reportedly asked Colton to zip up his jacket and cover the image because the shirt was banned due to its representation of a weapon. “It’s political correctness run amok,” the student’s father, Joe Southern, says. “You’re talking about a “Star Wars” T-shirt, a week before the biggest movie of the year comes out. It has nothing to do with guns or making a stand. It’s just a “Star Wars” shirt. He’s just an excited kid for the movie.”
* You could strangle someone with that T-shirt, you know.
* The force of logic is not strong with these school officials.
* With the same line of thinking, Jar Jar Binks would be banned because he’s a, you know, a Gun-gan.
* 7th graders in Texas should get to the decide this themselves. I mean a lot of them are 18.
* Someone explain that joke to Ted Cruz. I don’t think he got it.
* There’s another Star Wars movie coming out? When did this happen?
* It all depends if the rebel blaster weapon was registered or not.
