MOST AMERICANS WOULD RATHER DIET AND EXERCISE THAN TAKE OZEMPIC
A new survey released this week suggests that a majority of Americans would rather NOT take Ozempic or other diet drugs to lose weight. They would rather exercise and diet. Despite a high demand for the drugs, which has led to shortages, these new findings indicate that Americans overall are still wary about these drugs. The survey, commissioned by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, asked 2,205 adults if they agreed or disagreed with this statement: “If I wanted to lose weight, I would rather take an injectable weight–loss drug, rather than make a diet change.” Overall, 23% agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, compared to 62% who disagreed or strongly disagreed. When only including the people who wanted to lose weight, 73% disagreed with taking these drugs over making a change in diet.
* What kind of Bizarro World are we living in?”
* This just tells me most Americans are afraid of shots.
* The main problem: Who wants to feel full after only half a Big Mac? That’s no fun!
* Wait – there’s such a high demand there are shortages? So how many people lied in the survey?
* Don’t kid yourself. When they drop the cost and find just the right price point, Americans will jump all over it.
