99-YEAR-OLD WOMAN ACHIEVES DREAM OF BEING TARGET IN KNIFE-THROWING ACT

A 99-year-old British woman had her dream come true over the weekend. Annie Duplock always wanted to be the target in a knife-throwing act. Yes, she wanted someone to throw knives at her. Duplock worked for the Zippo Circus thirty years ago, in the publicity department. She approached her former boss, whose circus was performing in Coventry, England, and asked about taking part in the performance to fulfill her lifelong dream before she hits her 100th birthday in three months. The owner agreed, allowing his professional knife thrower to integrate Annie into the Friday night performance. After her moment in the spotlight, Duplock said she “really enjoyed” the experience and would do it again.
