8-YEAR-OLD WINS CANNABIS PRODUCTS IN RAFFLE

An 8-year-old boy won a raffle at a youth hockey tournament. The prize – about $200 worth of marijuana products. Keith Redl, of British Columbia, said that his grandson, who plays in a youth hockey league, had entered the raffle. The prizes are usually geared towards children, but his grandson put his tickets in a special bag meant for adults. His family was later notified that he had won “$200 worth of pot” and associated products including edibles, a lighter and a smoking apparatus. The Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association issued a statement explaining that the prize was meant for adults and was never near where the children were. Grampa Redl, a policeman for 32 years, said, “There is no place for drugs at a child’s hockey tournament.”
* Aw, aren’t grampas sweet, and naive?
* Besides, if there was marijuana at hockey games, there would never be any fighting, and where’s the fun in that?
* How did the kid manage to put his tickets in the wrong bag? Was he stoned?
* Talk about high sticking.
* On the bright side, the kid’s street cred is now through the roof.
