6TH GRADERS TOLD TO SAY "YES" WHEN ASKED TO DANCE
West Haven, Utah, Kanesville Elementary School holds an annual Valentine’s Day dance for the kids. One of the rules is, if a boy asks you to dance, you have to say yes. One parent has a problem with this. Natalie Richard became upset when her daughter told her about the dance. She believes forcing students not to say no teaches them the wrong lesson, that it teaches girls that they have to say “yes”, and it teaches boys that girls can’t say “no”. Richard took her concerns to the school principal, who told her they “want to promote kindness, and so we want you to say yes when someone asks you to dance.”
* Just as long as you keep room between yourselves for the Holy Spirit.
* Imagine this in the adult world, and that “someone” is Harvey Weinstein, and “asks you to dance” is “asks you to give him a naked massage”.
* This puts entirely too much power in the hands of weird, creepy, and ugly boys.
* Just like in Hollywood!
