HOW MUCH CANDY EQUALS 100 CALORIES?
A while back, Consumer Reports came up with the amount of different kinds of candy that equals 100 calories:
– Hershey’s Kisses are less than 25 calories each, so four and a half Hershey Kisses come to 100 calories.
– For snack-sized Kit Kats, 100 calories equals a package and a half.
– The small Twix bars are 50 calories each, so you get to eat two.
– A single Reese’s peanut butter cup is 110 calories, so it’s just a little over.
– Twenty-five little Skittles total 100 calories.
– Starbursts are 20 calories each, so you can eat five to get 100 calories.
– Brach’s candy corn will take 13.6 candy kernels to equal 100 calories.
* Dang. Now I’m going to have to buy an Exact-o knife to cut that .6 kernel of candy corn.
* Isn’t it adorable the way 100 calories is supposed to mean something to us Americans?
* Lick the wrapper so you really get your calories’ worth.
* Speaking of calories, do we have to count the beers we drink while we’re following our Trick-or-Treating kids?
* Who wants to get together and TP the Consumer Reports building?
