10-POINT BULL ELK WALKS INTO GIFT SHOP

Prateek Shakya, owner of the Water Wheel Gift Corner store in Estes Park, Colorado, spotted an elk hanging out near the front door to the store. Mr. Shakya watched as the 10-point elk (* HUGE antlers!), which was being pursued by police, walked through his door and stood just inside the store for about 45 minutes. Shakya, who posted video of the elk’s visit to YouTube, said the elk ended up walking right back out through the same door when it was lured out of the store by police offering apples. Shakya said there was no damage to the store.

* Don’tcha hate lookie-loos?
* “Hey – no shirt, no shoes, no service!”
* The owner is going, “Can I help you?” And the elk is going, “Be cool … be cool … waiting for the fuzz to leave.”
* Next person in the store: “How much for the moose?”
* It didn’t even leave a deposit. Not on the floor or anywhere.
* So if you want some tick-infected gifts, along with a good story, head to the Water Wheel Gift Corner store in Estes Park, Colorado.
* Great, train the elk to get apples this way so it’ll come back every day.
* What the heck. Bring the whole herd. We’ve got apples for everybody.
* Maybe it was shopping for a card for the rutting season.
* I wish these animals would cooperate a little more while we run the planet.
