WORLD'S LONGEST TAMALE
At an event in New Mexico called “Viva II,” a three-day celebration of the state’s heritage, a team of cooks assembled what they say is the world’s longest tamale. Cooked in a special custom-made steamer, the tamale used 120 pounds of tamale dough and 50 pounds of green chili. The final product measured 116 feet, 7 inches. According to Guinness World Records, the longest tamale previously assembled was in Cancun, Mexico, in 2011 and measured a little longer than 66 feet. The team plans to submit all the required documentation to Guinness World Records to get official recognition for the achievement.
* Unfortunately, the crowd had ordered a burrito.
* Mike says to Molly, “You start at one and, I’ll start at the other, and we’ll meet in the middle.”
* They didn’t just break the record. They crushed the record by 50 feet.
* Gee, I wonder if they invited Trump to this thing?
* Trump wants to set a record too … a record for the longest wall.
* That’s what we need here right now: a three-day celebration. What for? I’ll let you decide.
* So, the pressure is squarely back on the tamale makers of Cancun then.
