WINNER OF BEER MILE CLASSIC DISQUALIFIED

Last Saturday, Corey Bellemore of Windsor, Canada, had set a new world record for the fastest time to finish the Beer Mile World Classic. However, officials have disqualified him because he didn’t drink enough beer during the run. During the race, each contestant must drink a total of four 12-ounce beers – one at every quarter mile – but Bellemore reportedly left more than four ounces (total) in bottles along the route, effectively disqualifying his run, which clocked in at 4:24 – a new record. Bellemore left about 4.5 ounces, or a half-ounce more than was permissible. The race, held this year in Vancouver, Canada, instead went to the second-place finisher, British runner Dale Clutterbuck, with a time of 4:47.
* Guess what Dale Clutterbuck did to celebrate his win? C’mon, guess!
* Only 4.5 ounces? Maybe it was accidental backwash?
* They have to drink four 12-ounce beers? Amateurs.
* The race also has a second competition for longest beer burp.
* Not exactly the Lance Armstrong scandal, but whatever.
