WHAT’S THE MOST USELESS THING YOU HAVE MEMORIZED?

A tweeter posed the question: “What’s the most useless thing you still have memorized?” We all have something strange floating around in our brain. Here are some of the responses:
– “Prime numbers up to 100.”
– “Wilma Flintstone has two maiden names.”
– “Various Latin phrases that no one understands and make me sound idiotic when I try to use.”
– “All of the lyrics to Van Halen’s ‘Panama.'”
– “We had to memorize the prologue to The Canterbury Tales in Old English.”
– “Quint’s USS Indianapolis speech from Jaws.”
– “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Give me the soundtrack, and I can recite the exact dialog going on at any point in the movie.”
– “The phone number of a friend I grew up with. Learned it almost 60 years ago, haven’t used it in over 45, but I still know it.”
– “My high school locker combination.”
– “Calvin Coolidge had two cats, named Socks and Tiger.”
* And not one of the things on this list would be useful on Jeopardy.
* What? No one claimed all the states and their capitals in alphabetical order?
* Then there are those things you can’t forget. Like really bad dates.
* Folks, if there’s anything you should keep memorized, it’s birthdays and anniversaries. Trust me.
* PHONE TOPIC: What is something strange or unique you have memorized? A poem from high school? A famous speech? Have listeners call in and recite it.
