INTERNATIONAL JUGGLERS DAY
The Holiday Insights website says this:
“International Jugglers Day celebrates the skill of juggling, and those talented people who can juggle many balls and objects at a time. Common objects include: balls, clubs, swords, plates, rings, and flaming sticks. The best jugglers can juggle up to ten balls at a time. Juggling is a skill and form of entertainment that has been around for thousands and thousands of years. Some of the earliest recorded history supplies proof that juggling was around during the early days of civilization. It remains popular today. Some might suggest that office workers are juggles, as they multi- task and keep several ‘balls’ (projects) going at the same time. Celebrate Juggling Day by watching a juggler at work. Better still, get several balls and give juggling a try. Ya never know, you just might be a talented juggler!”

CAPTAIN OF 30-PASSENGER FLORIDA TOUR BOAT FALLS OFF
A 53-year-old Florida boat captain was out with a large group of tourists when he fell off the boat. Police say John Edward Beckwith, the captain of the Clearwater Fun Boat, was intoxicated to the point where he fell off the pontoon boat last Friday afternoon. There were 30 tourists on the boat at the time. Other employees of the business said that Beckwith arrived at work stumbling and had food all over his face. According to the Clearwater Fun Boat information page, guests enjoy a “cozy and enjoyable ride. Cruise the stunning Clearwater Beach waters while indulging in a delicious ice cream sundae, and keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins dancing in the waves alongside our family-friendly boat.”
* Sounds like Captain Beckwith had just finished a parley with Captain Morgan.
* Clearwater Bay wasn’t the only thing polluted that day.
* Finally, someone who really WAS “three sheets to the wind.”
* “Hey, look – a manatee! Oh, wait, that’s the captain.”
* The Clearwater Fun Boat is pretty much fun. Then the hangover sets in.
GIRL BANNED FROM PROM OVER SNACK CHIPS
In Clayton, Ohio, a high school student will not be able to attend her senior prom after getting suspended for bringing a bag of corn chips to school. Ali Guy attends the Miami Valley Career Technology Center, which has banned certain snacks in the school because a teacher is severely allergic to an ingredient. Ali was on the school bus, she was hungry, someone gave her a bag of Taki corn chips, and she ate them. There were two chips left in the bag when she entered the building. She ate those, threw the bag away and went to class. Before long, the school principal called her down to the office, asked her if she ate the chips, she said yes, and they suspended her for five days. Due to the suspension at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, she is not allowed to attend prom at her home high school this month.
* Well, what the heck, she decided to let the chips fall where they may.
* Perfectly reasonable response.
* This high school needs a “Footloose” hero, but instead of dancing, he’ll champion snack chips.
* Takis are the corn chips of death? Where do I get ’em?
* On the bright side, that’s 200 bucks saved by not going to prom. Take your friends to Cedar Point for the day and have a blast.

WOMAN BRINGS DEAD MAN TO BANK TO CO-SIGN A LOAN
A Brazilian woman brought the corpse of an elderly man into a Rio de Janeiro bank Tuesday to get him to co-sign on a $3400 loan. The scene was captured on bank security camera. The woman, Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, is standing next to the dead man seated in a wheelchair. She is holding up his drooping head and moving his arm. She starts talking to him, saying, “Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign. If you don’t sign, there’s no way, because I can’t sign for you.” When a bank worker tries to point out that the man’s color looks off and he appears “not well,” Nunes says,“He is like that. He doesn’t say anything. Uncle, do you want to go to the hospital again?” Paramedics called to the scene confirmed that the 68-year-old man had passed away a few hours earlier. Nunes was arrested at the scene. She told police she was his niece as well as his caregiver.
* And temporary mortician.

* Sadly, the loan was for his cremation.
* “Ma’am, there’s no way he’s going to co-sign on your loan.” “No? Then he’s dead to me!”
* Is the bank Member FDOA?

NBA PLAYER BANNED FOR BETTING ON GAMES
The NBA on Wednesday banned Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter for allegedly betting on games, passing on information to gamblers and claiming illness to influence a wager. The 24-year-old power forward played in 26 games this season for Toronto, averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. The NBA said its investigation found that Porter had engaged in widespread gambling, which is against league rules. In one instance, Porter allegedly “disclosed confidential information” about his own health status to an individual he knew to be an NBA bettor ahead of a March 20 game. Porter then claimed to suffer from an illness during the game and only played three minutes. An $80,000 online bet had been placed ahead of the March 20 game that Porter would underperform, which would have paid out $1.1 million — although that wager ended up being “frozen” and not paid out because it was a suspiciously large bet. The NBA claims Porter placed at least 13 bets on NBA games using someone else’s online betting account, although none of those bets were on Raptors games. He ended up winning $21,965 from those March wagers.
