TEEN COUPLE WALKING DOWN THE STREET HIT BY LIGHTNING
Two teenagers in Claremont, California, were walking down the street holding hands when they were hit by lightning. “It was more of just kind of shove, you know, and it felt kind of like I was getting hit over the head with metal or something,” Dylan said. Dylan was walking with his girlfriend, Lexie, along a tree-lined street last Thursday when, as Lexie says, “Next thing you know, we are on the ground and we gave each other the most terrified looks you could possibly imagine. A passerby stopped to say he saw the lightning bolt hit them. A doctor later told them their lives were probably spared because they were holding hands while walking because it helped to diffuse the electrical current that ran through their bodies. It appears the bolt first hit Dylan’s head and traveled through his hands to hers and exited through Lexie’s foot.
* Not the shocking behavior you expect from teenagers these days.
* “When I first laid eyes on her, sparks flew.”
* Did either of them have braces? Just asking.
* There is some good news. They now both receive Direct TV for free.
* Not to mention the new super-powers.
* Walking down the street holding hands? What did they expect from such reckless behavior?
* This is southern California. You’re supposed to be driving a car.
