TAIWAN COLLEGE COACH DEMANDED BLOOD DONATIONS FROM STUDENTS
The woman’s soccer coach at National Taiwan Normal University has been accused by students of forcing them to donate blood in exchange for academic credits. A student, named Jian, came out in public accusing her coach, Zhou Tai-ying, of requiring blood donations for graduation. Jian said that, during her time at the university, she underwent more than 200 blood donations in exchange for course credits, sometimes three times a day. The blood was drawn by untrained personnel claiming to use it for “on-campus research experiments.” Coach Zhou has been dismissed by the university.
* She should have known. The team name is the Fightin’ Hemophiliacs.
* Maybe the coach is just a really, really lazy vampire.
* Come on, team, give blood! Don’t B-negative!
* For the final, the students had to spell ‘phlebotomist.’
* Coulda been worse. He coulda been demanding bone marrow. Ouch!
