SOME INDIANS COVER THEMSELVES IN COW DUNG TO WARD OFF COVID
As COVID-19 ravages India, some residents of Gujarat in the western part of the country have been visiting cow shelters to rub cow dung and urine on their bodies. Then, they hug or honor the cows while the mixture dries. (* Cows are thinking, “What the hell? I don’t want that stuff – I just got rid of it!”) When it dries, it’s washed off with milk or buttermilk (* to make a tasty breakfast shake!). Doctors are warning against the practice, saying there’s no proof it boosts immunity or helps treat COVID, plus there are health risks involved in handling cow manure, as other diseases can spread from animal to human.
* That’s one way to insure social distancing.
* If the cow manure and urine weren’t bad enough, the smell of spoiled buttermilk in the hot Indian sun is the capper.
* To be fair, this is how humans discovered stuff at the dawn of time. Just try any wacko thing you think of, and one out of a thousand might be a good idea.
* The problem is, you can do it once, but four weeks later you have to go back and get your booster dung.
* This is the kind of thing that makes Dr. Fauci wonder if it’s worth getting out of bed in the morning.
