SCIENCE: CATS PREFER SLEEPING ON THE LEFT SIDE

New “research” finds that cats prefer sleeping on their left side. An international “team” of “scientists” from “universities” in Italy, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, and “Turkey” analyzed more than 400 YouTube videos and found that two-thirds of the cats preferred to sleep on their left side. Why? Well, no one really knows. But they think it might be a survival tactic honed by evolution. Studies have found that in cat brains, the right hemisphere deals with spatial awareness and threat detection, and the left side handles their visual field. By sleeping on their left side, it allows the right side of the cat’s brain to quickly assess potential dangers or spot prey.
