MCDONALD'S TESTING OUT A BIGGER BIG MAC
McDonald’s is testing out different versions of its iconic Big Mac. A bigger one is called the Grand Mac, and a smaller one, the Mac Jr. The fast-food chain is testing the variations on its classic sandwich in Columbus, Ohio and Dallas-Fort Worth ahead of a potential national rollout of the sandwiches. The Grand Mac would have one-third of a pound of beef, two slices of cheese and a larger bun – the current Big Mac has one-fifth of a pound of beef. As for the Mac Jr., the mini-sandwich would have just one patty. McDonald’s first introduced the Big Mac in 1967, and the signature sandwich has barely changed since then.
* The Grand Mac – oh, get over yourself.
* Get real. Call it the FatAss.
* “I’d like a FatAss.” “Oh, don’t worry – you’re gonna get a fat ass, alright!”
* Oh, excuse me – that would be the McFatAss.
* Besides, Macs stopped referring to hamburgers when the Apple Mac took off.
* It’s the same old food-marketing strategy: When in doubt go bigger.
* Then if that fails, you can always add the bacon strips later.
