MAN WANTS TO LEGALLY CHANGE HIS AGE TO 20 YEARS YOUNGER

Now that people can legally change their sex, what’s the next move? This: A 69-year-old man in The Nethlerlands, who claims he identifies as a 45-year-old, has begun a legal battle to lower his age to help him meet women on Tinder. Emile Ratelband argues that if transgender people are allowed to change their sex, then he should be allowed to change his date of birth. He says doctors told him he has the body of a 45-year-old, and he’s gone to a court to get documentation. Mr. Ratelband was born on March 11, 1949, but he says he feels at least 20 years younger and wants to change his birth date to March 11, 1969, which will make him 49. He says, “When I’m on Tinder and it says I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.” He said he is discriminated against because of his age, and that he encounters problems in society on a daily basis. He complains that companies are reluctant to hire someone his age as a consultant. And, he says lowering his age would also be good news for the government because he would be stalling his pension until he reaches retirement age again. The court is due to deliver a written ruling within four weeks.
