MAN SHOWS UP FOR JURY DUTY WEARING PRISONER COSTUME
A Vermont man showed up for jury duty dressed in a prisoner costume. James Lowe of Barnet showed up to court Tuesday wearing a black-and-white-striped jumpsuit with a matching beanie. Just before the selection process, deputies directed him to an empty courtroom to meet with the judge, who told him to leave. Lowe says the judge told him he could’ve been found in contempt of court, punishable by a fine or jail time.
* Well, he would have been dressed for it.
* But he got off jury duty, so there’s that.
* Contempt of court? Sounds more like contempt of the Hamburglar.
* This got serious. The judge almost called in the fashion police.
* Seriously, who wears a prison striped beanie? Not even prisoners wear that.
* That’s hitting the nerd button pretty hard, isn’t it?
* Black and white stripes? I thought orange was in for prisoners this year.
* The worse thing about it is that the stripes made him look fat.
