FIVE-STAR HOTEL FORGOT TO PUT MIRROR COATING ON SAUNA WINDOWS

A new five-star hotel on South Korea’s Jeju Island is under fire for saying its sauna windows were mirror coated when they weren’t. The Grand Josun Jeju Hotel opened last month. Now it’s come out that naked guests in the shower booths and bathrooms in the sauna on the second floor could easily be seen by people from the first floor. One complaint is from a man who stayed at the hotel on his honeymoon who said his wife had used the sauna several times because she was told the windows were mirror coated. The couple found out the windows were transparent only on the last day of their two-night stay, when they were strolling around the hotel. The interior of the shower rooms and bathrooms in the sauna could be seen clearly from the hotel entrance, the promenade, the parking lot and guest room balconies, he wrote. “We paid over 800,000 won ($722) per night, and my wife and I used the toilets and took showers while people were watching,” the husband wrote, adding that they were in therapy due to the shocking experience.
* Yeah, well, the other guests paid 900,000 won per night to watch the honeymooners in the sauna.
* So … all the hotel employees on the first floor are nearsighted?
* Let me guess – now his wife doesn’t want him to see her naked ever again. Welcome to marriage, pal.
* It’s hard to believe this story. What were honeymooners doing strolling around the hotel?
* Now the hotel’s rating goes down to four stars. Although some people now give it six.
