ELEPHANT ENTERS THAI GROCERY STORE
A hungry wild elephant walked into a grocery store in Thailand on Monday and helped himself to food on the shelves. The huge male elephant, known as Plai Biang Lek, lives in a nearby national park. The elephant stopped in front of a shelf, grabbed and ate snacks, and didn’t flinch as national park workers tried to shoo him away. The store owner said he ate about nine bags of sweet rice crackers, a sandwich and some dried bananas. He left without hurting anyone, and eventually backed out of the shop still holding a bag of snacks with his trunk.
* At least he didn’t use the restroom.
* They say an elephant never forgets, but I bet he didn’t know his rewards card number.
* One shopper tried to pass it off as his service animal.
* It’s been four days, and they’re still trying to get the elephant smell out of the produce.
* An elephant walks into a grocery store. The bagger says, “Can I help you to your car with your groceries?” And the elephant says, “No, just put them in my trunk.”
