COUPLE GETS POTATO CHIP SURPRISE

Johnnie and Rachel Norman, a British couple, were vacationing at a hotel in Blackpool, a seaside town north of Liverpool. The couple went out on the town to celebrate her birthday. Mr. Norman had secretly arranged a surprise for his wife: she loves potato chips, so he asked the hotel staff to put 30 bags of potato chips on the bed while they were out. When they came back to the room, the bed was covered with 30 bags worth of potato chips – poured out of the bags and dumped loosely all over the bed. The staff misunderstood that he wanted CLOSED BAGS OF CHIPS on the bed. When they figured out what had happened, the couple had a good laugh.
* They thought the story was all that and a bag of chips. 30 bags of chips!
* I bet housekeeping had a few not-very-funny things to say about it.
* So the staff just let the chips … fall where they may.
