BOY HAS CENTIPEDE IN HIS EAR

A 14-year-old boy from Arkansas discovered the cause of his painful earache was a 4-inch-long centipede. Grant Botti woke up after feeling the pain, and pulled the insect out. Botti’s mother, Angela, put the centipede in a bag and took her son to Saline Memorial Hospital because the pain continued. Doctors discovered that the bug caused abrasions in his eardrum and ear canal. They bandaged the ear and said the boy will make a full recovery. How the centipede got into Botti’s ear is still a mystery. The family believes that it may have burrowed into the boy’s ear canal one day at the beach.
* Finally a story with some legs.
* They figured it happened at the beach? Is that what centipedes like to do – go to the beach?
* Aren’t the waves the size of, like, mountains to them?
* Wait – since when does Arkansas have a beach?
* Uh oh, maybe the 4-inch centipede was the baby and its parents are still in the kid’s head.
* Sure the boy will make a full recovery … until the eggs start hatching.
* Can we get one beach story this summer where nobody gets hurt?
* We need more wacky news with bikinis in it.
