AUDIO: ENTIRE GRAPE HARVEST STOLEN
Police in southern Germany are looking for thieves who stole an entire vineyard of grapes. The criminals ran a professional harvesting machine over the entire vineyard, which was located right next to a major supermarket on the outskirts of the village of Deidesheim. They made off with about 3,500 pounds of the white grapes used to make Riesling wine. The haul is estimated to be worth around $9,000. A similar crime happened last month to a vineyard in Virginia, when thieves illegally harvested 2-and-a-half tons of grapes.
