AMBULANCE CREW BUYS A SUNDAE FOR DYING MAN

Two Australian ambulance officers have been praised for a kind, yet simple act for a dying man. 72-year-old Ron McCartney was being taken to the hospital for end-of-life care last week. His wife, Sharon, told officers he had been eating very little in the two days prior to being picked up. So the Queensland Ambulance Guys asked McCartney what he’d want to eat, if he could eat anything. He told them: a caramel sundae. The EMTs stopped at a McDonald’s and bought him a sundae. As he was eating it, he had a big smile on his face and his wife was tearing up because she was so pleased to see him eating. Ron passed away on Saturday.
* … still trying to get the piece of caramel out of that one back molar.
* I might have gone with Lifesavers, but a sundae is good, too.
* I assume they got that “to go.”
* Pearly Gates, Golden Arches, pretty much the same thing.
* Doesn’t he know that fast food’ll kill you?
* Your last meal is from McDonald’s. Really nice, or really sad?
