SUBWAY EMPLOYEES THWART ROBBERY BY IGNORING ROBBER

Two teenage sandwich artists at a Subway in Conventry, Rhode Island, thwarted an attempted robbery last week by ignoring the robber. According to police, a man wearing a white t-shirt on the top of his head and a plastic shopping bag tied around his face entered the shop on Tuesday and demanded money. The Subway employees just pretended he wasn’t there. The man – who looks exasperated in security camera video of the incident – became agitated and mumbled something under his breath as he walked out of the business.
* The two teens have just received job offers from the U.S. Postal Service.
* Does Jared have an alibi?
* This is the only way Jared will ever get money from Subway again.
* I can sort of relate to this. Nobody takes me seriously either.
* I’ve read a lot of stories about famous robbers but I don’t recall anyone using a plastic shopping bag for a disguise.
* We did have one where the robber had a pair of boxer shorts over his head, so that was close.
* My favorite’s still from the other day where the robber just made a gun shape with his hand and fingers.
* Apparently, crime draws more than its share of dumb asses.
