POSTAL WORKERS SCAMMED SECRET SANTA PROGRAM

Three Manhattan U.S. Postal Service employees have been charged with scamming the city’s “Operation Santa” program – posing as children in letters to Santa – to score free electronics and other pricey gifts meant for poor kids. The three – Terry Jackson, Mahogany Strickland and Nickyeves Saintalbord – wrote letters pretending to be impoverished children during Christmas 2013, and ensured that those letters were selected by Secret Santas. Big-hearted New Yorkers then bought them electronics, clothing, and other consumer goods.
* These three are SO going on the Naughty List.
* I didn’t think any government employees could get caught doing worse things than TSA agents, but here you are.
* They weren’t Secret Santas, they were Secret A-holes.
* Ahh, it just makes you feel warm all over, doesn’t it?
* It’s not that they were willing to take the stuff for themselves. They also found it in their hearts to keep needy children from getting it. (sigh) How noble.
* Say what you will about the Taliban but they take care of stuff like this by sundown.
* Of course I doubt very much if the Taliban has a Secret Santa program.
* It’s good this came out in June so we could forget it by the time the Holidays roll around again.
