CHINESE SCIENTISTS GROW ANTLERS ON MICE
Scientists in China have grown “mini-antlers” on mice by inserting deer genes into the mouse genome. The team took stem cells from Sika deer antlers and implanted them into the heads of mice. After 45 days, the mice had developed clearly identifiable mini-antlers. The process, they say, could eventually be used for human bone fracture repair.
