DRIVER OFFERS TO PAY FOR MEAL OF OFFICER BEHIND HIM
In Halifax, Nova Scotia, a man was at a drive-thru around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning when he noticed a police car behind him. He thought he’d do a nice thing and offered to pay for the officer’s order. As the transaction ensued, the officer got out to tell the driver that the offer was appreciated but couldn’t be accepted. That’s when the officer noticed that the man appeared to be impaired. The 42-year-old driver’s breathalyzer test showed he was double the legal limit for driving. He’s now facing charges of impaired driving, driving while suspended and operating an unregistered vehicle.
* Would you like fries with your arrest?
* Suspended license, no registration, and drunk behind the wheel. Well, at least he wasn’t naked.
* Sometimes when you’re hungry at 2 a.m., the best thing is to just throw a pizza in the oven.
* The Mounties always get their meal, and their man.
