FLYING PAPER LANTERN SETS OFF MASSIVE OIL FIRE
You know how you can make a miniature hot air balloon by attaching a tea candle under a paper bag and letting it float away? Sunday in Seoul, South Korea, a construction worker on his lunch break found a previously used paper lantern and, on a lark, lit it up and sent it into the sky. It drifted about 300 yards over to an oil storage facility, landed next to an oil tank, set off a fire and caused the oil tank to explode in a massive ball of flame, burning about 2.6 million liters of gasoline. Authorities were able to track the lantern launching back to the construction worker using closed-circuit security footage. The used lantern had come from a nearby elementary school, which had held a lantern ceremony the night before.
* First question: what construction worker works on a Sunday?
* Well, on the bright side, the overtime will help pay for the 2.6 million liters of gasoline.
* Guy might want to switch from construction to demolition work.
* What do you suppose that guy was thinking when he heard the explosion five minutes after he set off a lantern?
* The elementary school kids should at least be considered accomplices.
* Didn’t Mr. Bean do this one time?
* PHONE TOPIC: I accidentally caused a lot of damage.
