PRISON GUARDS PUT ACCUSED KILLER, TESTIFYING WITNESS IN SAME CELL

For some strange reason, prison guards placed the lead witness in a gangland murder trial in the same cell as the accused killer he was testifying against. The witness was beaten up. It happened in the Silverwater Metropolitan and Remand Centre in New South Wales, Australia on Tuesday. The injuries sustained by the witness meant he was unable to appear in court on Wednesday where he was due to give evidence in the trial of the accused killer. A spokesman for Corrective Services says that while it is unclear who carried out the assault, an investigation is underway.
