1 IN 50 MEET LOVE OF THEIR LIFE ON AN AIRPLANE
A new study from British bank HSBC suggests that 1 in 50 airplane passengers meet the love of their life on board an aircraft. The results came from interviews with 5,000 people from 141 countries in which participants were asked about the likelihood of meeting “the one” while on a plane. The survey was conducted this past July and also found:
– 16 percent of travelers had formed a business connection on a flight.
– 14 percent made long-lasting friendships with people they met while flying.
* No methodology, no actual wording of the questions, no anecdotal evidence, just a survey on love and relationships done by a bank. Well, the science is sound.
* One in 50? On a typical flight, that would be three people, so – this includes threesomes?
* What if you’re sitting in the back, and the love of your life is up front in the third row? Do you just hit on every single person on board until you find them?
* I guess you could toss out pick-up lines as you slowly make your way up the aisle to the restroom. “Hello … Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?” “Good morning … Do you like raisins? In the mood for a date?” “Hi, there … Do you believe in love at first sight – or should I walk by again?”
* I don’t know about love on an airplane, but those seats are now so close together I think I might have had sex with a few people during turbulence.
