ZOO HIRES SOUL SINGER TO GET MONKEYS TO MATE

A UK animal park hired a Marvin Gaye tribute artist to sing to their monkeys to inspire them during the spring mating season. The Trentham Monkey Forest, a primate sanctuary in the village of Tittensor houses troops of critically endangered Barbary Macaques. They hired Dave Largie, who works as a Motown and Barry White tribute artist, to help encourage the monkey love by singing Marvin Gaye’s 1973 love ballad “Let’s Get It On.” He also sang several other Marvin Gaye songs, including “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” in an effort to get the monkeys in the mood.
* Because that’s how monkeys do in the wild?
* How about making them a pitcher or two of banana daiquiris?
* He should have gone with “Last Train to Clarksville.”
* The monkeys responded by applauding, and covering him with their feces.
