WOMEN SLEEP BETTER WITH DOGS THAN MEN

A study out of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, finds that women sleep better with dogs by their side instead of another human. In a survey of 962 women living in the U.S., 55 percent sleep with at least one dog and 31 percent sleep with at least one cat by their side. Additionally, 57 percent shared their bed with a human partner. The study found that dogs who slept with their female owners were found to disturb sleep less than a human counterpart and provided stronger feelings of comfort and security. On the flip side, cats were reported to be equally disruptive as human partners.
* Dogs probably have better breath and fewer fleas, too.
* I’m going to go way, WAY out on a limb here and say it’s probably because dogs don’t snore.
* Does it help if your human partner sleeps with a Furry costume on?
* Let me guess – the authors of the study are women, right? (Christy L. Hoffman, Kaylee Stutz & Terrie Vasilopoulos) Yep.
