WOMEN FIGHT ON AIRPLANE

Two women were arrested Wednesday after they attacked each other as their flight arrived at JFK Airport from Jamaica. The violence erupted after the plane landed at around 8:30 a.m. As the plane started taxiing toward the terminal, a 61-year-old passenger at a window seat tried to climb over another woman, 52. The older woman pulled out a small blade and slashed her seatmate, Langford reported. The 52-year-old woman whipped out pepper spray, according to police. Seven people were treated for difficulty breathing. The 61-year-old, identified as Jean Ballantine of Brooklyn, was arrested on assault and weapons charges. The other woman, Mary Cannady, of Linden, NJ, was arrested for possessing pepper spray.
* And the TSA screening agents back at the departure gate were given a raise and a promotion.
* And everybody else on the plane was, of course, charged a $25 entertainment fee.
* If her plan was to get off the plane quicker, it didn’t work.
* One particularly rough moment was when one woman made the other lick an armrest, because we all know they never clean those things.
* So other than this, how did their flight go?
* Welcome to the not so friendly skies.
* Maybe the skies were friendly but they’re back on the ground now.
* The older woman had a small blade? Yikes. You mean like a box-cutter blade?
* Sorry, but we have a little history with those going back to 9/11.
