WOMAN SHOOTS AT HUSBAND FOR NOT HELPING AROUND THE HOUSE

A Marysville, Washington woman admitted shooting at her husband because she was frustrated that he had not helped around the house. The husband told 911 dispatchers on Saturday night that his wife, Starlene Roth, had fired a shot at him. The man had recently been discharged from the hospital for hepatitis, and Starlene became angry because “he hadn’t been able to do anything around the house.” First, she threw a vase at him on Saturday night, and then pushed over their barbeque as he was cleaning up the glass. When he picked up the barbeque, she pushed it over again, he said. Then his wife got a Smith & Wesson 9 MM pistol from the bedroom and told him to “Get the (expletive) out of the house.” She then fired a single shot at her husband, police said. Police spoke to Roth and she admitted that she “blew up” at her husband, and that her anger was “too far gone to resist” using the gun. She said that she “wanted him to pay.” Roth “doesn’t think she did anything wrong and she was well within her rights because of how (her husband) was reacting and she was so pissed off.” She was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
