WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO TWINS AT 74

A 74-year-old Indian woman now holds the record for “world’s oldest mom” after she gave birth to twins on Thursday following a round of in vitro fertilization using donor eggs. The woman, identified as Erramatti Mangayamma, and her husband, 80-year-old Rajarao, hail from a small Indian village in the Eastern Godavari district. The baby girls were born via C-section, and are healthy.
* Sure, they could have tried this 50 years ago, but they weren’t ready to get bogged down with kids.
* If you think she’s old, the kid’s grandparents are 150.
* One advantage of being a mom at that age is you can breastfeed them just standing next to the crib.
* The other advantage is, everybody in the family eats the same food: strained peas.
* And I’m sure all four are eligible for the group rate on diapers.
* Oh well, at that age you’re up a lot during the night anyway.
