WOMAN GIVES BIRTH ON A HELICOPTER
A baby boy was born on board a British Coast Guard helicopter Saturday night. Alicia MacDonald, a “humanist celebrant”, was on the remote Isles of Scilly off southwest England to officiate a friend’s wedding ceremony when she went into labor with her second child. A chopper was called in from the mainland, with a midwife on board. Mid-flight, Baby Torran was welcomed into the world around 1,400 feet in the sky.
* Helicopter parenting at its most literal.
* “I now pronounce – MY WATER BROKE!”
* She was high in the air, and high on epidurals!
* Torran’s first thought in the helicopter: “This planet is NOISY!”
* Well, that birth only cost the British taxpayers about $200,000. Good job!
* Helicopter birth. Okay … anybody want to try for submarine?
* “Humanist celebrant”. Sounds like a polite term for someone who likes porn.
