WOMAN GIVES BIRTH AT PADRES GAME

A woman gave birth to a baby boy at Petco Park in San Diego during the third inning of Thursday night’s Major League Baseball game between the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. Capt. Joe Amador of the city’s Fire-Rescue Department said firefighters had been called for pregnancy medical aid, but the ballpark’s own medical system took care of the birth. Afterwards, mother and baby were taken by ambulance from the park to San Diego Medical Center. The Padres won the game, 5-4.
* Appropriately, since “Padres” means “Fathers.”
* I suggest they name him “Homer.”
* See? This is what happens when the Kiss Cam goes too far.
* Coming soon at the ballpark: Birth Cam.
* I’d rather just watch the pitcher’s delivery, thank you.
* I hope the baby becomes a legendary baseball player. It’d be a nice story: “He was born to play this game.”
* You want “The Natural”? Start with natural childbirth.
