WOMAN, ANGRY AT HER BOSS, BLOWS UP OIL WAREHOUSE

A woman in Thailand blew up the oil warehouse where she worked because she was angry with her boss. 38-year-old Ann Sriya allegedly used a lighter to set fire to a piece of paper before throwing it on to a fuel container at the Prapakorn Oil warehouse. The fire quickly spread through the building, which was used to store thousands of liters of oil inside tanks. More than 40 fire engines spent four hours battling the blaze before it was eventually brought under control. The fire caused more than a million dollars worth of damage. She allegedly told police she did not expect the fire she started to cause this level of damage. (* Fire – how does it work?) She claims she started the fire in anger at her boss who had scolded her and discussed ways she could improve her work.
* Offhand, I can think of one really good way she can improve her work.
* She always did have a fiery personality.
* What a hothead!
* Too bad she didn’t work at, like, a stone quarry.
* Burning down a warehouse seems like a reasonable response to a job performance review.
* There goes that Christmas bonus, too, I bet.
* I would probably store oil in underground tanks, but that’s just me.
