WINE THIEVES THROW BURGUNDY AT CHASING COP CARS

Some wine thieves broke into the luxury Relais Château hotel, in Burgundy, France, early Tuesday morning, making off with hundreds of bottles of Burgundy wine worth more than $430,000. The owner of the hotel was woken by the fire alarm going off. He jumped in his car and kept up with the gang’s van, while calling for reinforcements. Police then joined the chase, but as they approached the speeding van, the thieves began throwing bottles of wine, aiming at the windshield of the police car. They missed. The men finally abandoned their vehicle after smashing into a road toll barrier. Police say they are searching for at least three men.
* … and a nice cheese to go with all that burgundy.
* Folks, remember – if you’re planning on pulling a heist, always bring some change for any highway tolls.
* What’s black and white and red all over? A police car covered in burgundy wine.
* Throwing wine at a chasing police car is not what they mean by “toss one back.”
* Hopefully that wine travels well.
