WHEN YOUR KID DOES SOMETHING YOU WANT THEM TO

A survey of 2,000 parents of children aged 2-18, from Pirate’s Booty Snack Food, asked about the little things parents find satisfying. Here are the Top 10 Things Parents Consider a “Win”:
1. Getting your child to eat their vegetables easily
2. Keeping your child occupied and quiet while grocery shopping
3. Getting your child to finish a meal without whining
4. Having your child enjoy a healthy snack
5. Having your child request a healthy snack or meal
6. Keeping your child occupied and quiet on a long car ride
7. Getting your child to finish their homework
8. Getting your child to bed without any tantrums
9. Successfully bathing your child without any tantrums
10. Successfully distracting your child while passing the toy aisle so they wouldn’t beg for a new toy
* Sadly, as your child gets older, you’ll come to realize this was the easy period.
* And kudos to “Pirate’s Booty” for keeping in the comments about “healthy snacks”.
* Change the word “child” to “husband” and that’s pretty much my marriage.
* This list doesn’t begin to cover it. What about:
– Five more minutes in bed on a Saturday morning without the TV blaring from the living room.
– The joy of finding a flushed toilet.
– A visit with grandma where they don’t say, “”Mom brings home Burger King all the time.”
– Simply coming home to find the house isn’t on fire.
