WANNA BUY A CROCODILE?

One thousand crocodiles (* EXACTLY one thousand crocodiles!) have been left homeless in Israel’s war-torn West Bank after a tourist attraction failed. The Petza-el farm was created 20 years ago to bring in tourists, but the constant fighting has kept tourists away. In 2012, 70 of the crocodiles escaped, causing the government to step in a run the place. They have tried to move the crocodiles to Cyprus, but that deal fell through. They tried to sell them for their skin, but a law was passed making that illegal. Now, despite repeated attempts, there are a thousand crocodiles living in the Jordan Valley, near the Jordan River, and the fear is some might escape into the river which could cause an international incident.
* Are you telling me they can’t off-load these things to some South American drug lords? Those guys love crocodiles.
* Looks like Israel is armed with Weapons of Mass Consumption.
* Great idea for a tourist attraction. You take a place where there’s always conflict and bombings, and you make it MORE dangerous.
* They tried to make one of those “Please adopt me” commercials like they do with sad-eyed puppies, but for some reason it didn’t work.
* Hurry up before they decide to catapult them into Palestinian territory.
