WALMART WILL HAVE EMPLOYEE PLACE GROCERIES IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR

Walmart is now offering to have one of its employees deliver fresh groceries and put them in your refrigerator when you’re not home. The company will be offering the service this fall for more than one million customers in three cities: Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Missouri, and Vero Beach, Florida. Here’s how it works: customers place a grocery delivery order online and then select InHome Delivery and a delivery day at checkout. Walmart workers will use smart entry technology and a wearable camera to access the customer’s home. That allows shoppers to control access into their home and give them the ability to watch the delivery remotely. Walmart said that the workers will go through an extensive training program that would prepare them for things like how best to organize your refrigerator.
* I don’t know what’s worse – having a Walmart employee in your house, or being a Walmart employee and having to go inside a Walmart customer’s house.
* “Please place the ice cream in the freezer, next to grandma’s head.”
* A stranger in your refrigerator, with access to all of your food, your juice pitchers, your opened jars, your Tupperwares of food…
* A stranger in your house, filming everything. This has got to be a YouTube idea – they must be running out of new videos.
