VENICE HOTELS USING SQUIRT GUNS TO DETER SEAGULLS

Hotels in Venice, Italy have started giving tourists water pistols to squirt at marauding seagulls swooping down and stealing food from people eating outdoors. Paolo Lorenzoni, director of the historic Gritti Hotel near the Grand Canal, said the squirt guns “really work, they’re also colored orange, which the birds don’t like.”
* Yeah, we recently had a dislike of a big orange thing here in America, too.
